Basketball Game Preview: Georgetown Royals vs. Monument Mountain Spartans

The Georgetown Royals will venture away from home to square off against the Monument Mountain Spartans at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Georgetown comes in on six and Monument Mountain on eight.

Georgetown can't be too worried about heading out to take on Monument Mountain: they just beat Bourne at home, who had been dominant on their own court up to that point. Georgetown skirted past Bourne 69-66.

Meanwhile, Monument Mountain posted their closest victory since December 23, 2024 on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 68-65 win over Burke.

Monument Mountain's victory was their 18th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 23-2. As for Georgetown, their win bumped their record up to 19-6.
