Baseball Recap: Fossil Ridge Comes Up Short

Fossil Ridge was the 5-1 winner over Birdville when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Fossil Ridge Panthers fell 8-4 to the Birdville Hawks on Saturday. The Panthers just can't catch a break and have now endured five losses in a row.

Fossil Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11-2. As for Birdville, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fossil Ridge will square off against Azle at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Fossil Ridge is facing Azle at the right time seeing as Azle is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Birdville, they will take on Ryan at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Ryan's pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so Birdville's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
