Ridgefield had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15 points) and they went ahead and made it eight on Monday. They blew past the New Canaan Rams 50-27. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut basketball rankings (they are ranked 19th, while the Rams are ranked 117th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Ridgefield pushed their record up to 9-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for New Canaan, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.
