Baseball Recap: Wednesday's Win Is Chaminade-Madonna's 12th in Last 13 Outings

Chaminade-Madonna won against Cardinal Newman on Tuesday with seven runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. Chaminade-Madonna put the hurt on the Union County Fightin' Tigers with a sharp 7-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won nine matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Spencer Krasner looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the first time he hasn't allowed a single hit since back in February.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Trace Zalman, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was John Scott Bishop, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Chaminade-Madonna has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. Union County is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chaminade-Madonna will head out to face off against ABF Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Union County, they will venture away from home to square off against Baker County at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
