Basketball Game Preview: Hale Cardinals vs. Keytesville Tigers

Hale has gone 9-1 against Keytesville recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Cardinals take on the Tigers at 4:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Hale is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Meadville on Thursday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Hale was dealt a 45-17 defeat at the hands of Meadville. The Cardinals were down 37-16 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 88-34, which was the final score in Keytesville's tilt against Higbee on Monday. While losing is never fun, Keytesville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 566th, while Higbee is ranked 201st).

Kinley Dowell was Keytesville's leading scorer, having posted 13 points. Kiera Shannon held things down on the boards with 11 rebounds.
