Calvary Christian faced Lake Brantley in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Warriors put the hurt on the Patriots with a sharp 7-1 victory. The Warriors' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Morgen Talley spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up 15 Ks. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Braylee Rano, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Morgan Spinner, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
