Basketball Recap: Snook Comes Up Short

It was a Battle of the Birds when Snook took on Hearne on Friday. The Bluejays came up short against the Eagles, falling 74-48. The Bluejays have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Kellen Bowser continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Hearne, shooting 69% from the field on his way to 26 points in addition to eight boards and six steals. The matchup was Bowser's third in a row with at least 15 points. Cristian Robinson was another key player, putting up 15 points and three steals.

Snook's loss dropped their record down to 18-10. As for Hearne, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-6 record this season.

Coincidentally, Snook and Hearne will both be playing Iola the next time they take the court. The Bluejays will head out to face the Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Eagles will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
