Volleyball Recap: Lee's Summit Comes Up Short

Lee's Summit lost against Maize South on September 6th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Tigers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mavericks.

Lee's Summit's offense was headlined by Lucy Nault and Mylah Kruger, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Brecklyn Johnson and her six assists. Reese Hubbard controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Lee's Summit has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-16 record this season. As for Maize South, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 19-3.

Lee's Summit didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Bishop Carroll on the 27th. As for Maize South, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Hayden on the 27th.
