Recap: Indio Rajahs vs. Cathedral City Lions
The Indio Rajahs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 106-27 win over Cathedral City. Indio has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 25 points or more this season.
Jayden Gonzalez continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 29 points. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last ten games he's played. Jerry Perkins was another key contributor, scoring 20 points.
Indio is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for Cathedral City, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-19.
Indio will look to defend their home court on Monday against Banning at 5:30 p.m. Banning will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 1252nd, while Indio is ranked 454th). As for Cathedral City, they will head out on the road to face off against Coachella Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
