Football Game Preview: Vallejo Redhawks vs. Bethel Jaguars

The Vallejo Redhawks will face off against the Bethel Jaguars at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Vallejo will be strutting in after a win while Bethel will be coming in after a loss.

On Friday, everything came up roses for Vallejo against Washington as the team secured a 34-7 victory. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Redhawks had established a 20-point advantage.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Vallejo's defense and their three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Trevell Stanley, Keith Ford, and Marquise Billie, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Meanwhile, Bethel fell victim to Vintage and their airtight defense two weeks ago. They were outmatched by the Crushers and fell 54-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Jaguars in their meetings with the Crushers: they've now lost four in a row.

Vallejo's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 10.6 points on average over those games. As for Bethel, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Vallejo took their win against Bethel in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 20-0 score. Do the Redhawks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Jaguars turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
