Basketball Recap: Silver Bluff Comes Up Short

Silver Bluff was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Keenan Raiders, falling 61-15. The Bulldogs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-9.

Keenan found their leader in freshman Taelor Lee-Sutton, who went 12 for 16 en route to 27 points along with seven steals and five assists. Lee-Sutton's evening made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kristin Brown, who posted eight points and six steals.

Silver Bluff's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Keenan, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Silver Bluff has already played their next game (against Swansea), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Keenan won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Eau Claire at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. That match will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Lee-Sutton and Destinee Tiller.
