Baseball Game Preview: Dublin Scioto Irish vs. Big Walnut Golden Eagles

The Dublin Scioto Irish are taking a road trip to challenge the Big Walnut Golden Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Dublin Scioto managed to slip by Westerville North the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Irish lost 8-1 to the Warriors on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 18 runs in the game before, the Irish couldn't push the score so high this time.

Meanwhile, Big Walnut got the win against Westland on Monday by a conclusive 11-1.

Big Walnut is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. As for Dublin Scioto, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.
