Volleyball Preview: Dover Green Wave vs. Concord Crimson Tide

Dover and Concord are an even 4-4 against one another since October of 2015, but not for long. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Dover took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Portsmouth, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Green Wave had just enough and edged out the Clippers 3-2 on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Green Wave have posted since September 4, 2024.

Dover found their leader in sophomore Jovie Meeker, who had 16 digs and two assists. Meeker is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Dover was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Concord not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since October 18, 2024 (when they won 3-0). Everything went their way against Keene as they made off with a 3-0 victory.
