Schaumburg Christian has been on the road for three straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the North Shore Country Day Raiders at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Tuesday, Schaumburg Christian came up short against South Beloit and fell 41-34. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Schaumburg Christian has scored all season.
Carynton Hobson put forth a good effort for the losing side as she dropped a double-double on 14 points and 19 rebounds. Hobson is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Delyla Merced, who scored no points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, North Shore Country Day's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They fell 38-31 to Francis W. Parker. That's two games in a row now that North Shore Country Day has lost by exactly seven points.
Schaumburg Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 7-2. As for North Shore Country Day, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
