Baseball Game Preview: Jefferson Democrats vs. Santee Falcons

For the second straight game, Jefferson will face off against Santee. The Democrats will challenge the Falcons at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. Jefferson's pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so Santee's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

While Jefferson's win against Santee wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Democrats sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 victory over the Falcons on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Democrats have posted since March 20, 2024.

For Santee's part, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Daniel Navarro, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

Jefferson's victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-3. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. As for Santee, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8.
