The home team had won the previous two meetings between Wilson Christian Academy and Eastern Christian HomeSchool, and Wilson Christian Academy kept the tradition alive. The Chargers put the hurt on the Trailblazers with a sharp 13-5 victory on Monday. The Chargers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by six runs or more this season.
Katie McBryde was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four runs, two stolen bases, and two doubles. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2024. Cheyenne Brantley was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
Rocky Mount Academy came out on top against Faith Christian on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run fifth inning. The Eagles' pitcher stepped up to hand the Patriots an 11-0 shutout. With that win, the Eagles brought their scoring average up to 6.1 runs per game.
Berkeley Miller made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 12 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Katie Bulluck, who went 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Kaylen Evans, who went 1-for-4 with three runs and one stolen base.

The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Rocky Mount Academy, their record now sits at 10-7.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Wilson Christian Academy has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Rocky Mount Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 2.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Wilson Christian Academy suffered a grim 15-1 defeat to Rocky Mount Academy when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Chargers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
