Volleyball Recap: 11 Straight Home Victories for La Jolla Country Day

There's no place like home for La Jolla Country Day, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Maranatha Christian Eagles on Thursday as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant La Jolla Country Day was: they took every set by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-8, 25-13.

Olina Shi was a one-woman wrecking crew as she had eight aces and seven digs. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in assists (three).

Shi wasn't the only good servers: La Jolla Country Day was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in six consecutive matches.
