Softball Recap: Tri-County North Comes Up Short

If Tri-County North was riding high fresh off their 8-0 takedown of National Trail last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Tri-County North came up short against the Boyd County Lions on Monday, falling 12-2. The match marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Tri-County North saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lola Grieshop, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI. Madison Bondurant also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Tri-County North now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Boyd County, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

Tri-County North has already played their next matchup (against Blazer), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Boyd County, they will be playing at home against Padua Franciscan at 11:15 a.m. on Wednesday.
