After a string of four wins, Oak Mountain's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Vestavia Hills Rebels by a score of 4-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rebels this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-0 back in March.

Rylie Redden was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2.

Oak Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 17-13. As for Vestavia Hills, they moved to 10-14-1 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Oak Mountain is set to face off against their familiar foe Hewitt-Trussville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Vestavia Hills will take on rival Hoover at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
