Softball Recap: Cleveland Central Catholic Comes Up Short

Cleveland Central Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Rhodes Rams, falling 18-1. The Ironmen were not able to make up for their defeat to the Rams from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Cleveland Central Catholic saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Josalyn Hall, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-2. Hall has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Shannoun Caldwell also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Cleveland Central Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Rhodes, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cleveland Central Catholic will face off against St. Martin de Porres at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Rhodes, they will square off against Garrett Morgan at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
