Volleyball Recap: Lexington Catholic Starts off Right with Win over Frederick Douglass

Lexington Catholic gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They blew past the Frederick Douglass Broncos 3-0. For the Knights, this counts as revenge for the 3-2 victory the Broncos walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

While Lexington Catholic won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 26-24, 25-10.

Leading Lexington Catholic to victory were Maddy Warner and Finley Quinn. Warner had 16 digs and two aces, while Quinn had 12 digs. That's the most digs Quinn has posted since back in October of 2024.
