Basketball Game Preview: Notre Dame Titans vs. Waterford Wildcats

The Notre Dame Titans will face off against the Waterford Wildcats at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Notre Dame sitting on four straight wins and Waterford on 12.

Notre Dame is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They took down Trimble 40-23.

Taylor Lasswell was the offensive standout of the contest as she went 5-for-8 on her way to 17 points. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last six games she's played. Lauryn Trinidad was another key player, putting up seven points.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Waterford faced off against Clay on Monday. Waterford blew past Clay 44-22. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 21 points or more this season.

Notre Dame's record is now 15-8. As for Waterford, their record is now 22-1.

Notre Dame came up short against Waterford in their previous meeting back in February of 2022, falling 57-52. Can Notre Dame avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
