Soccer Recap: William Smith Takes a Loss

William Smith was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Nederland Panthers. The game was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but William Smith couldn't quite close it out.

William Smith's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Nederland, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-2-2.

When William Smith and Nederland next hit the pitch, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. The Eagles will square off against Loveland Classical and their three-game winning streak at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Nederland will try to stop Gilpin County's five-game winning streak when they meet at 6:15 p.m. on Monday.
