Volleyball Recap: Hoover Gets the Win

The Hoover Vikings earned a 3-1 victory over the Independence Blue Devils on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vikings.

Hoover had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-23, 25-22, 25-16.

Despite the loss, Independence still got an impressive performance from Sofia Pichert, who had 23 digs and five assists.

Hoover's win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Looking ahead, Hoover will square off against Villa Angela-St. Joseph at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Independence, they will challenge Richmond Heights at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
