Basketball Recap: Hershey Comes Up Short

Hershey was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the St. Patrick's Irish and fell 59-30. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 43-30 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February.

Hershey's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for St. Patrick's, they pushed their record up to 4-1 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hershey will take on Kimball in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Kimball knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Hershey likes a good challenge. St. Patrick's and Ogallala will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ogallala will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something St. Patrick's surely won't give up without a fight.
