Soccer Game Preview: Overland vs. Eaglecrest + How To Watch

The Overland Trailblazers are taking a road trip to challenge the Eaglecrest Raptors at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Overland is headed into Saturday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight matches on Tuesday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Arapahoe. The contest was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Overland couldn't quite close it out.

Meanwhile, Eaglecrest has been on a difficult stretch since their win on September 16. They came up short against Cherry Creek on Tuesday, falling 7-0. While losing is never fun, Eaglecrest can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado soccer rankings (they are ranked 166th, while Cherry Creek are ranked first).

Eaglecrest's loss dropped their record down to 1-10-1. As for Overland, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5-3.

Overland beat Eaglecrest by a goal when the teams last played back in October of 2024, winning 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trailblazers since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
