Recap: Waxahachie Indians vs. Cedar Hill Longhorns

The Waxahachie Indians came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.1 points) and they left with even more momentum. They enjoyed a cozy 74-59 win over Cedar Hill. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.

King Grace was his usual excellent self, scoring 28 points along with five rebounds and two steals. He has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last eight times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Parker Jefferson, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 16 rebounds.

Waxahachie has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season. As for Cedar Hill, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 18-10.

Waxahachie will head out on the road to square off against DeSoto at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing isn't great for DeSoto: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Waxahachie has snatched up three consecutive wins on the road. Cedar Hill will take on Duncanville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Duncanville knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 21 matches -- so hopefully Cedar Hill likes a good challenge.
