Basketball Recap: Canterbury Comes Up Short

Canterbury lost against Lely back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Canterbury Cougars took a 67-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lely Trojans. The Cougars just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Canterbury's defeat dropped their record down to 8-16. As for Lely, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 12-12 record this season.

Canterbury will face off against Evangelical Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Evangelical Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten games -- so hopefully Canterbury likes a good challenge. As for Lely, they will challenge Aubrey Rogers on Wednesday. Lely is facing Aubrey Rogers at the right time seeing as Aubrey Rogers is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
