Basketball Recap: Wilson Magnet Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Aquinas Institute, Wilson Magnet was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They escaped with a win against the Edison Tech Inventors by the margin of a single free throw, 54-53. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Wildcats as it put an end to their four-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Wilson Magnet's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Edison Tech, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wilson Magnet will be home for the holidays to greet World of Inquiry at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. World of Inquiry knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Wilson Magnet likes a good challenge. As for Edison Tech, they will welcome Monroe at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday.
