Softball Game Preview: East Central Eagles vs. Ogilvie Lions

East Central is on a seven-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Ogilvie a 13-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Thursday. The East Central Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Ogilvie Lions at 4:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

East Central came up short against Hinckley-Finlayson on Tuesday, falling 10-1.

Meanwhile, Ogilvie lost 8-1 to Aitkin on Tuesday.

Ogilvie saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ruby Beier, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double.

East Central now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Ogilvie, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

East Central beat Ogilvie 9-6 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
