Soccer Game Preview: South Mountain vs. Camelback

South Mountain and Camelback are an even 3-3-1 against one another since January of 2016, but likely not for long. The South Mountain Jaguars will be playing at home against the Camelback Spartans at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. South Mountain knows how to get goals on the board -- the squad has finished with four goals or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Camelback likes a good challenge.

South Mountain is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. Everything went their way against Valley Vista on Tuesday as South Mountain made off with a 7-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Jaguars, who have now won five matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Camelback came up short against Desert Ridge on Friday, falling 4-1. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

South Mountain's victory bumped their record up to 6-3-1. As for Camelback, their loss dropped their record down to 1-9.

South Mountain skirted past Camelback 3-2 in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. Will South Mountain repeat their success, or does Camelback have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
