Baseball Recap: Smyer Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Smyer barely beat Seagraves the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bobcats blew past the Eagles 13-2 on Saturday. That 11 run margin sets a new team best for the Bobcats this season.

The victory (which was Smyer's fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-7. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Seagraves, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.

Smyer will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Eagles: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
