It was a good run, but Cranberry Area unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 65-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Slippery Rock Rockets.

Cranberry Area's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Slippery Rock, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cranberry Area will head out to face off against North Clarion at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cranberry Area knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine contests -- so hopefully North Clarion likes a good challenge. As for Slippery Rock, they are taking a road trip to challenge Greenville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
