Softball Recap: South Summit Comes Up Short

South Summit managed to slip by Union the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. South Summit came up short against Union on Tuesday, falling 11-2. The contest marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

South Summit saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brinley Stapleton, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for South Summit and nudges their season record down to 9-8. As for Union, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

Coincidentally, South Summit and Union will both be playing Ben Lomond the next time they take the field. South Summit will head out to face Ben Lomond at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, while Union will host them at 3:30 p.m. on April 9.
