Brian Rowe leads Robinson to victory over Lake Norman Charter

Recap: Robinson Bulldogs vs. Lake Norman Charter Knights

The Robinson Bulldogs entered their tilt with the Lake Norman Charter Knights with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. Robinson walked away with an 81-71 win over Lake Norman Charter on Tuesday. Given Robinson's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 118th, while Lake Norman Charter is ranked 313th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

It was another big night for Brian Rowe, who scored 23 points. Another player making a difference was D'nas White, who scored 15 points.

Lake Norman Charter's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Collin McConneyhead, who scored 23 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points McConneyhead has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Braden Wilkie, who scored 18 points along with two steals.

Robinson has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for Lake Norman Charter, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-13.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Robinson will take on West Rowan at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Robinson's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last eight contests. As for Lake Norman Charter, they will be playing at home against South Rowan at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lake Norman Charter is on a seven-game streak of home losses, South Rowan an 11-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change.
