Recap: Midway Raiders vs. West Bladen Knights
The Midway Raiders's game last Tuesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They came out on top against West Bladen by a score of 48-40. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Midway also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Kara Beth Benton was the offensive standout of the contest as she scored 22 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Peyton Herring was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with ten rebounds and three steals.
Midway is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. As for West Bladen, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.
Midway will head out on the road to face off against Clinton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Clinton and Midway are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for West Bladen, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against St. Pauls at 6:00 p.m. St. Pauls presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than West Bladen in North Carolina (St. Pauls is ranked 166th, while West Bladen is ranked 368th).
