Soccer Recap: Cape Fear Academy Comes Up Short

Cape Fear Academy managed to keep up with Ashley until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Hurricanes lost 3-0 to the Screaming Eagle. Cape Fear Academy have struggled against Ashley recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Cape Fear Academy now has a losing record of 3-4-1. As for Ashley, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-1-2.

Cape Fear Academy and Ashley will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Hurricanes are set to square off against their familiar foe Wayne Christian at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Ashley will challenge rival Topsail at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
