Volleyball Recap: Methuen Victorious + How To Watch

Methuen proved they can win big on Saturday (they won by three) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the North Andover Scarlet Knights 3-2. The Rangers haven't had any issues with the Scarlet Knights recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Methuen was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-21, 16-25, 25-17, 15-8.

Kathryn Driend continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, getting nine digs, seven aces, five kills, and three blocks. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in assists (40). Ella Duffy was another key player, getting 19 digs and five aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Methuen was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 19 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Methuen's record now sits at 10-3. As for North Andover, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season.

Methuen will take on Chelmsford at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for North Andover, they will challenge Billerica Memorial at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
