Baseball Recap: Woodsville's Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Woodsville ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Gorham Huskies, sneaking past 4-3. The win was nothing new for the Engineers as they're now sitting on three straight.

Caleb Ilsley was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run. Another player making a difference was Ryan Walker, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Woodsville now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Gorham, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Woodsville will host Blue Mountain at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Gorham, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pittsburg at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
