Baseball Recap: Nettleton Takes a Loss

Nettleton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Glen Rose Beavers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Raiders have suffered since April 30, 2024.

Nettleton's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Glen Rose, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-4.

Coming up, Nettleton will square off against Searcy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Searcy's pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so Nettleton's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Glen Rose, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 19-4 defeat against Bauxite on the 28th.
