Volleyball Recap: Skyline Has No Trouble Against Pierce City

Skyline barely beat Pierce City the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Tigers put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 3-0 win on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

While Skyline might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Pierce City scored at least 19 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-23, 25-19.

Kimber Henderson paced Skyline's offense, picking up eight kills. Henderson got some help from Jenna Hunt and her 15 assists. Henderson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Skyline's victory bumped their record up to 7-4-1. As for Pierce City, they moved to 7-3-2 with that defeat, which also ended their seven-match winning streak.

Skyline wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Strafford on the 22nd. As for Pierce City, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against East Newton on the 20th.
