Softball Recap: Lone Oak Comes Up Short

Lone Oak lost against Rains back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Lone Oak came up short against Rains, falling 15-3. The Buffaloes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lone Oak's defeat dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Rains, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-9-1.

Coming up, Lone Oak will face off against Commerce at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Commerce will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last. As for Rains, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Prairiland at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Prairiland has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.5 runs per game on average), something Rains will no doubt try to take advantage of.
