Basketball Recap: Heritage Christian Eagles vs. Blue Ridge Christian Warriors
The Heritage Christian Eagles lost against the Blue Ridge Christian Warriors back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Heritage Christian was the victim of a tough 75-50 loss at the hands of the Warriors. Heritage Christian has struggled against the Warriors recently, as their contest on Friday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Blue Ridge Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Pennbrook Shaver, who scored 33 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Shaver has scored all season. Kaleb Price was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on 23 points and nine rebounds.
Heritage Christian has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Blue Ridge Christian, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-2.
Heritage Christian will head out on the road to face off against the Knights at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Blue Ridge Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Whitefield Academy is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.
