Kenwood skates past Dundalk with ease

The Kenwood Bluebirds can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent match on Wednesday. They blew past Dundalk 59-29 on the road. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Kenwood has posted since December 8, 2023.

It was another big night for Diamond Watters, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 17 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Mackenzie Green, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and five steals.

Dundalk's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lanaya Valentine, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and three blocks. Another player making a difference was Justice Smith, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and two steals.

The victory got Kenwood back to even at 5-5. As for Dundalk, they dropped their record down to 2-9 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight at home.

Kenwood will head out on the road to challenge Woodlawn at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Maryland (Woodlawn is ranked 168th, while Kenwood is ranked 152nd). Dundalk won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Lansdowne at 5:30 p.m. on January 18th. Lansdowne has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 16.
