Basketball Recap: Sadye Eichman's Big Game Can't Quite Lead North Broward Prep over Saint Andrew's

North Broward Prep suffered their closest loss since February 14, 2024 on Saturday. They fell just short of the Saint Andrew's Scots by a score of 54-51. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Scots apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sadye Eichman, who posted seven points. Another player making a difference was Kaydie Sturm, who earned nine points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Saint Andrew's to victory, but perhaps none more so than Delaney Beighley, who went 6 for 10 on her way to 19 points in addition to five boards and three steals. That's the most points Beighley has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabby Fulton, who put up 15 points and six rebounds.

North Broward Prep's loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Saint Andrew's, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-2.

North Broward Prep will venture away from home to square off against Grandview Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Grandview Prep has won six straight at home, while North Broward Prep won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change. As for Saint Andrew's, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 58-40 defeat against Westminster Academy on the 13th.
