Basketball Game Preview: Ellensburg Bulldogs vs. Hermiston Bulldogs

The Ellensburg Bulldogs and the Hermiston Bulldogs will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. One thing working in Ellensburg's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matchups.

On Friday, Ellensburg didn't have too much trouble with Sehome as they won 56-39.

Meanwhile, Hermiston entered their tilt with Eastmont on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 51-39 victory over the Wildcats. The 51-point effort marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Hermiston's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.6 points per game. As for Ellensburg, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4.

Ellensburg came up short against Hermiston when the teams last played back in December of 2022, falling 81-74. Can Ellensburg avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
