Softball Recap: Reedley Comes Up Short

Reedley managed to slip by Hanford West the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Pirates lost 9-3 to the Huskies on Tuesday. The Pirates were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Huskies apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Saige Hallum made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Jamilah Taylor was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-3.

Reedley now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Hanford West, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Reedley is set to square off against their familiar foe Kingsburg at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Hanford West will take on rival Selma at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
