Basketball Recap: Northridge's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Saturday

After flying high against Plymouth last Friday, Northridge came back down to earth. The Northridge Raiders took a 65-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of the South Bend Riley Wildcats on Saturday. The Raiders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

The loss snapped Northridge's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 13-3 record. As for South Bend Riley, the victory made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 13-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northridge will head out to square off against Wawasee at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for South Bend Riley, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the South Bend Riley Wildcats duke it out with the South Bend Washington Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
