Baseball Game Preview: Andress Eagles vs. Chapin Huskies

The Andress Eagles will head out to square off against the Chapin Huskies at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Andress will be strutting in after a win while Chapin will be coming in after a defeat.

Andress will bounce into Tuesday's match after beating Burges, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Eagles skirted past the Mustangs 8-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Eagles have posted against the Mustangs since March 21, 2023.

Meanwhile, Chapin came up short against Canutillo on Thursday, falling 13-6.

Chapin saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nathan Hurtado, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Andress pushed their record up to 11-13 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Chapin, their loss dropped their record down to 10-15.

Andress came out on top in a nail-biter against Chapin in their previous matchup on April 2nd, sneaking past 10-8. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
