Gladewater made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Troup, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Gladewater Bears were the clear victor by a 6-0 margin over the Troup Tigers on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Bears, who have now won seven games by six runs or more so far this season.

Not much got past Sean Burke, who gave up just three hits and racked up six Ks to keep Troup off the board. Burke has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Luke Brown, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Gladewater pushed their record up to 9-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Troup, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-5.

Looking ahead, Gladewater will be playing in front of their home fans against Tatum at 7:00 p.m. on March 18th. As for Troup, they will venture away from home to face off against West Rusk at 7:00 p.m. on March 18th.
